Discover the enhanced PoE dashboard and more in our latest update
We’re excited to unveil Instant On Cloud Portal version 3.3.3—a release packed with powerful insights designed to elevate your network management experience. At the forefront of this update is the all-new Power over Ethernet (PoE) Dashboard, a powerful tool that brings long-requested visibility and control to your network’s power resources. Read on to learn how these enhancements will streamline your workflow and help you get the most out of your Instant On devices.
The all-new PoE Dashboard: Power management made simple
The star of the Cloud Portal 3.3.3 release is the PoE Dashboard—a visual, intuitive interface that gives you real-time insights into the power usage of your Instant On switches. This dashboard consolidates essential data into a simple chart, making it easier than ever to monitor, analyze, and optimize PoE allocation across your network. Whether you’re supporting IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones, you’ll have the clarity and control needed to ensure your devices run efficiently and stay within power budgets.

What does the PoE Dashboard look like? You’ll find a clean, modern display featuring color-coded graphs and tables that highlight total power consumption, available PoE budget, and port-specific usage. The dashboard makes it easy to identify which ports are consuming the most power and spot potential issues before they affect your network. This visual approach not only enhances troubleshooting but also empowers proactive management of your connected devices.

Accessing the PoE Dashboard is straightforward: log in to your Instant On Cloud Portal, navigate to the “Power Usage” section of your PoE device. This can be any PoE-capable Switch, AP22D, and SG2505P. From the “Power Usage” screen, you can select the port or device you wish to manage. The PoE Dashboard tab is prominently placed, ensuring you’re only a click away from granular power insights.
More reasons to upgrade: Minor enhancements that matter
Beyond the PoE Dashboard, version 3.3.3 introduces several minor yet meaningful feature enhancements. Client management is now more refined, enabling administrators to reclassify client devices or add new tags to one or multiple client devices with additional granularity.

Administrators also have the capability to better filter, sort, and identify client tags across their network in a new screen in the client management tab. Admin’s will see the number of devices related to a tag and will be able to easily rename a tag on their list with the simple click of a button.

Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) can now be enabled or disabled on access points, switches and gateways, helping to control power consumption during low traffic periods, an ideal option for those seeking to optimize energy usage.

Finally, the much-requested “disable DHCP server” from our Community is now directly in the portal, empowering you to tailor your environment to fit specific needs when an Instant On Secure Gateway is installed on the network. By default, Instant On will be used to assign IP addresses. If you have an external DHCP server or gateway that provides this function, or if you already have an IP scheme in place, disabling this setting will allow your external service to handle IP assignments.
