  • 1.  How to change AP name

    • Login to the InstantON mobile APP and Navigate to Inventory.

    • Tap the AP which name has to be changed.

    • Click on the text box where you have the MAC address of the device.

    • Clear the MAC address and enter a name which you want to assign to the AP.

    • Perform the same if you are accessing portal page using PC.

    • Please make sure you hit Enter after changing the name, if not the Name will not be changed.

    This does not work.  When you hit enter, the name reverts on the app.  In the web portal, same problem

    HI JP, 

    i have tried this and i am able to see the AP name changes.. i tried on Instant on 3.0 version which version are you seeing this issue. 

    also in latest web portal when you do a change and not save, you will see a warning like below

    Thanks so much for the reply.  App version is 3.0.1    As soon is I press return, the name changes back instantly and then it starts to sync.

     

    In the web portal, if I check the software version of the site, it says 3.0.0 

     

    If I go to the device, I can change the name under the Identification Column.  I can press enter, but nothing happens and on the upper left, it still shows the old AP name.  If I click Update, the name instantly changes back and it starts a sync.
