I have 3 AP11, I see 802.11r disabled in WinFi tool. How to enable fast roaming 802.11r in access point?
@NQT
802.11r is useful for skipping the 802.1X authentication cycle for a fast transition when roaming and allows for sharing client encryption keys between APs.
Are you using 802.1X/RADIUS authentication for your networks?
@Stephane Thank you. I use access point for my home, i don't have radius server. I think fast roaming default enable in WPA2-PSK (AES). Perhaps i was choose the wrong access point
@NQT 802.11r is only enabled on when you are using Radius authentication as you can see from the screenshot. Are you having issues with clients not roaming and dropping connections or just not roaming at all?
@GThiesen - I'm using android phone (SOC qualcomm Snap 835) when i watching tiktok live stream and moving around the home. Sometime device dropping connections- My friend have IAP 315, his ap enable fast roaming when using WPA2 PSK. There are many different between AIO and IAP
@NQT The IAP-315 is our enterprise featured AP and does have more features and options available.
In website aruba said AP11 for SOHOs, boutiques, retail shops! I think they need enable fast roaming simple & easy, they don't need radius sever
I hope it will change in the future, make it simple and easy for customers
