Is there a way to select a fixed channel Width for the 2.4 Ghz network? I have a few wireless cameras that go crazy if the channel width isnt 20mhz. Thanks for the help! Smiley Happy

@Techdrew97 The AP uses Adaptive Radio Management to determine the best channel width and if you have a busy network in most cases it is going to select 20mhz.

it would be nice if the choice would be offered to switch between auto channel and manual channel setting

In order to keep up the simplicity and ease of use of Instant On, we have opted not to allow for the manual channel setting. But rest assured, the solution is such that there is constant scanning and optimization being done to select the best channels

Hi. That is not true. all of my clients use fixed wireless service and your instant on access points massively interfere with the backhaul radios. I need to be able to set channel exclusions or to be able to manually configure the radios or this product is not very useful to me.

When there are multiple other 2.4GHz networks in the area, why would ARM choose to use a 40MHz wide channel in 2.4GHz that interfers with the neighboring networks and causes the neighboring networks to interfer with the AIO AP? That doesn't make sense.

    Hi ,

If there is interference detected, ARM will adjust accordingly. As each environment is different, it is hard to point out the exact reason this might be happening in your case. If this problem persists, please contact support and give them details of your network and environment.

I will contact support. Right now it's making what can only be called poor decisions in 2.4GHz. Thanks for the reply!

I can also confirm poor ARM decisions, with the following screenshot..Crowded 2.4GHz bandCrowded 2.4GHz band

@Marcony In 1.4 firmware release coming soon, you should see improvements to channel selection.

Radio management now has 2.4 & 5GHz channel width and selection.

I'll post impressions after few days of testing.

After upgrading mine, I'm seeing much better channel choices. I also love that we are getting a little bit of control over the radios. These two improvements will make it a lot easier to build out great Wi-Fi networks at n impressive price. Thanks!
