We have bought 10 of these switches for our customer.
The problem in all these switch is related to Poe .
Not alle the Poe device connected to the switch power on.
I've tried more than 3 different device ( Two type of AP's and Phone's Poe).
The Switches will refuse to power over PoE on a particular port, but will work when tried on a different port.
After a reboot switch ports that were working with PoE stop working, but when multiple Poe device were plugged in at the exact same time they would.
Tried all firmware version available, factory default the switch, tried to connect the Poe device with a 1mt cable, check the Poe total budget , check with all other switch. Same problem.
We have opened the ticket about 2.5 month ago!! The technical support admitted the problem, but they do not know when (or if) it will be resolved! This behavior is embarrassing on the part of HP, if we have purchased POE switches it means that we need POE switches, it is not possible to have such an answer. Furthermore, after our insistence, they told us to buy a POE injector!!! Please, I need an escalation to this problem.
