1930 Models SFP+ compatibility

Is there any valid documentation which HPE/Aruba SFP+ Modules are supported by the 1930 Models?

Do the devices support j9150A and or j9150D GBIC's?

Niclas The J9150D is the supported transceiver and the datasheet lists the supported transceiver options. The J9150A might work but is not guaranteed.

I was reading through that and I didn't see any reference to BiDi transceivers. Is there any guidance on that?

BiDi transceivers are not supported on the 1930 switches.

Thanks. J9150A compatible third party SFP's do not work...

It's in the installation guide, not the configuration manual. FYI, I'm using J4859D transceivers manufactured by a third party and labeled as HPE-Aruba compatible in a 1930. B&H wanted $2000 for an HPE-brand transceiver that costs $50 on FS.COM. That seemed a bit rich.

Is there any listing of working 3rd Party Transceivers or can anyone recommend a working SFP+ or SFP Transceiver? (MMF and SMF)
The price of the switches is just right, but I can't tell a customer to buy a transceiver which is more expensive than the switch itself.
If i put 4 original transceivers for sfp+ mmf in a 1930 24 Port Switch the Transceivers cost more than 4 times what the switch costs.

If I compare it to Ubiquiti Unifi, their Transceivers cost about the same like a 3rd Party Transceiver for Aruba.
That's the problem when the same Transceivers are used that are sold for the Enterprise Stuff.

I will get a bunch of 1930 Switches this week and will try it with difference configurations of FlexOptix Transceivers and Report which configurations are working.

I use 2 of this part:
    amazon.de HPE-kompatibel-J9150A-Transceiver-10GBase-SR-300-meter

They work flawless on my 1930

I´m located in Europe, hope you can get it in your local store

It shouldn't be a problem to get one of these.
I'm also located in Germany like you. :)

I will keep you all posted if the Flexoptix Ones work.
Maybe other can also share which SFP-Modules they have working :)

I just tested some Flexoptix (SFP+ SR) Modules in my 1930-24G-PoE+ Switch.
I configured the Modules to the following configuration:

    J9150D and J4858C

With the configuration J9150D I got an 10GBit Link
With the configuration J4858C I got an 1GBit Link

Everything seems to work as expected with the Flexoptix Modules.

    For anyone that is interested:

    https://www.flexoptix.net/en/

Their Modules and Cables can be bought preconfigured to a certain module or can be configured with a FlexBox (Which is quite expensive)

Does anyone know what 3rd party 10g-BaseT transceivers work with the 1930 switches? I'm gearing up to replace my home's core switch (an Unifi 48 port POE) with a 24 port 1930 POE. I've got an R730 with 10G BaseT NICs that are currently plugged into 10Gtek transceivers on the UniFi switch.

I am using Fiber Store SFP-10GSR-85 (10G: SFP+ 850mm 300m) with my 1930 switch and also connected to my Fiber Store 3900-24P and my Juniper EX2200-C, all work just fine.  I also test with my UBNT ES-8-150w and worked as well.

@FL64 - Did you ever manage to get a good list of 3rd party 10G-BaseT transcievers together for the 1930 instant on? Looking myself would love to know what you went with! Obviously trying to find the cheapest, well supported option.

I am using Finisar FTLX8571D3BCL for fiber connections.  10Gtek and WiiTek set for HP purchased through Amazon for 10G BaseT.  The switches mention they are unsupported but they still work fine.  I've not had any trouble and these are constantly active transferring terabytes from a couple of storage systems.
