    Hello together,

    When configuring our new Aruba Instant On 1960 24G 2XGT 2SFP+ (JL806A) switches, we noticed that we cannot create new SNMPv3 users.
    The error message is: Non default local engine id value is required before configuring the user table.

    The displayed local engine ID is 0000000001 (default?).

    I could not find a hint in the manual or FAQs on how to adjust or change the Local Engine ID.

    Therefore, my question is how to change the engine ID or what steps are necessary.

    Hey Marc,

    We recommend doing a factory reset to the device. The 2.7.0 upgrade will keep this from happening again in the future. Firmware as this rare occurrence is fixed in this latest software.

    Hey,

    thanks for the feedback. I found it and tried it out.
    Unfortunately, an update alone wasn't enough, I had to reset the switch as well. But then it worked :D
