I have AP's connected to an HPE 3810 Switch.
The AP's will show offline in the portal even up to 23 days, some AP's still show online, the problem is these AP's are up they show cdp neighbor detail and they also respond to pings at the local site, the only way to get these back online into the portal is to reboot them, is there no intelligence built in to the AP's to say if i don't show online in the portal to either reboot the AP or to reset the connection? i don't see this problem with other sites that have an instanton switch before the AP's that are behind the same the same firewall. This only seems to be in issue when it is not behind an intanton switch. it also is not the same AP's either as it can switch.
Is there any type of logging on the AP that we can gather to tell what it is doing?
Is there any intelligence to detect if it goes offline to reconnect to the portal?
