  • 1.  Aruba Instant On 1960 100% CPU!

    Hi,

    We have a Aruba Instant On 1960 48G that has a 100% CPU all the time! running firmware 2.9.0

    I've noticed a few people with this, if I turn on loop protection, will it disconnect people? 

    Or any other ideas?

    I am getting the same issue.  Not sure when it started.  I did enable loop protection but that did not help.  It does not disconnect any devices when you enable this.  My memory urtication is only at 2%.  I will reboot the switch later today to see if that helps.

    I was able to resolve my issue by powering down the switch and restarting it.  The logs were showing that a device was reconnecting every X number of minutes.  Since the restart that has gone away.  Hope this helps.

    @Nikwax Can you upgrade firmware to the latest version and see how it goes?

    I don't have a 1960 switch but latest firmware should be 3.1.0 I guess.
    So your 2.9.0 sounds outdated to me.

    We had this again! its been 278 days since I updated the firmware to 3.1.0 and its been solid. 

    Today, back to 100% cpu, restarting it at lunch, has anyone worked this out?
