Instant On - Wired

I have a switch we are sending to a remote site in Africa.  This site has Internet and the switch will be the primary one at this location.  It is currently configured and working on my Instant console.  Will this continue to appear and work remotely through the console when it is connected outside the US?

My 1830 switches work outside the US - they are in Australia & work with the instant on portal. 

Mostly they work fine, but on two occasions in the last year they have required manual "hard power cycles" , due to becoming unresponsive.

In both occasions I had to go to the switch and perform a factory reset in person, to get them working again.

It will work, however make sure to configure your site location to the country where the switch is located. In case you add Access Point to the same site in the future, it will then use the proper Wi-Fi regulatory channels (for this country).

@JR20 Right now, my Instant console has it set up and functioning. When linked outside of the United States, will this still show up and function remotely via the console?

@cinehd Yes, it should continue to appear in your Aruba Instant Portal as long as the switch can reach the internet and communicate with Aruba's cloud services from the remote location. Before shipping it, I'd just verify that the destination network in Africa doesn't block the required outbound ports or domains, as that is usually the most common cause of connectivity issues after deployment.
