Hi all,
Thanks for flagging this, and sorry to hear about the trouble with your AP22s.
For a solid-red LED that persists after a reboot, hard reset, and moving off the PoE injector to a direct power source, we strongly recommend opening a case with HPE Networking Instant On support so the issue can be properly identified. Support can look at the device and the cloud-side records together and determine whether this is recoverable or requires an RMA, that's the fastest path to a resolution and to ruling out anything the wider community might also be hitting.
Regarding the suggestion to grab the previous firmware file and upgrade/downgrade from the bootloader over the console cable, that approach doesn't apply to Instant On. Instant On firmware images aren't distributed as downloadable files for manual flashing, so there's no FW file to load from the bootloader. On top of that, firmware on Instant On devices is managed automatically by the cloud, the device pulls and applies the correct version once it's connected and adopted, so manual firmware handling isn't part of the recovery flow here.
So the recommended next step is really to contact support to identify the root cause and, if the unit is confirmed unrecoverable and still under warranty, proceed with an RMA.
Thanks!

Two methods.
- Try to get FW file for previous version. And you need to have console cable. Upgrade/Downgrade from boot loader.
- RMA if AP is still in warranty.

Did you have any resolution? It seems multiple people are affected by this and I'm one of them.
