I have a Spectrum Cable Modem -> Synology RT2600ac router -> 1930 24 port AIO POE switch -> Ap11, 2 - AP11D, and 2 AP22 Wifi access points, and various other devices hardwired to the network.  All AP's are POE through the switch, which is connected to a UPS.  At least once a day wifi access drops across all APs and when I look at the AIO alert log, it shows that APs and/or the switch were unreachable ("offline"):

Users connected to wifi are unable to reach the internet.  Occasionally, a ring alarm device, which is hardwired to the switch as opposed to over wifi, will alert me that it switched to cellular service (and I get the AIO alert that the "Site was unreachable"), but not in all the cases when I experience wifi issues firsthand.  In these latter cases, it could be that its an issue on Spectrum cable's end, but in the cases where the Ring alarm is able to stay connected, I am thinking that this is likely an Aruba issue. Today, for example, I had 2 brief outages (lasting less than 2 minutes), and in neither case did I get an alert from the Ring alarm that service was out.  Not all APs and the switch are affected in each event unless it's a "site" outage.

Any thoughts one why some/all of these devices sporadically going "offline" for brief periods?

    Thanks.
    Ray

    Hey RG,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Your device showing offline will only happen when there is an internet issue which will make the device not reach the cloud portal and an alarm is created with a notification that is cleared when the device comes back online. It would help if we can monitor the Synology router with a wired client to see if there is a drop and also if there is a time pattern that this issue happens so that we can narrow down the issue.
