  • 1.  Native VLAN or Port Isolation Aruba 1930

    Posted 10-20-2022 10:28 AM
    Hello,

I had a 8 port aruba 1930 switch and I need to connect two ISP on the same switch and 2 routers (for HA Config).

I need to isolate 3 ports (1, 2 and 3) and other 3 ports (4, 5, and 6) so they can't connect via L2 (no ARP, Broadcast, etc).

    On HP switch works ok.

    On Fortiswitch works ok.

    the idea is:

    port 1, 2 and 3 = vlan 100
    port 4, 5, and 6= vlan 200
    port 7, 8, 9 and 10 = vlan 1/ default.

but I don't ask my ISP to change vlan on the router port, al packets in the switch with vlan 1 or default vlan, and out the switch with vlan 1 o default.
Is inside the switch where I need to isolate the ports.

any idea? because I try several config and can't make works, on HP and Fortiswitch works fine.

    thanks.

    Hey Kevin,

This configuration should work when we have the correct membership and the PVID as shown below. Please let us know if this helps.
ports 1, 2, and 3 = untagged on VLAN 100, tagged on no VLAN. PVID=100.
ports 4, 5, and 6 = untagged on VLAN 200, tagged on no VLAN. PVID=200.
    ports 7, 8, 9, and 10 = untagged on VLAN 1, tagged on no VLAN. PVID=1.
