    Hi,

I tried setting "Session Soft Timeout" to 60 minutes,  clicking apply, save and rebooting.

After connecting to and logging in to the web GUI , I'm logged out automatically from the switch after Avery short period of time, perhaps 2 minutes or so.

Is there any trick to making the timeout setting work?

    Update #1:

I looked at the requests from the switch GUI page, every few seconds there is a GET request to :

    http://<switch name>/.../hpe/device/authenticate_user.xml

In Google Chrome, when "Settings > Performance > Memory saver" is enabled and the tab is put in background ( e.g. when another tab is selected) it appears the "authenticate" timer does not fire at regular intervals, resulting in a rapid logout.

If the switch hostname is added to the "Always keep these sites active" list, the session timeout seems to behave better...

    Thanks ,
