Hi Goraz,
As per diagram attached, have gone ahead and purchased 2 x AP27 + 1x AP11D to serve the downlink which will go to a 8 port 1930 PoE switch.
However, have you failed to mention power ? It seems I must power my AP11D with a PSU (what port on AP11D should go to downlink to my switch? Is this also the case with the AP27 (ie. the bridge AP must use PSU , ie I cannot use PoE to power it ?
I need clarification on this ASAP.
I ideally I dont want to have to use PSUs whereever possible as its very inconvenient and requires additionally electrician work to accommodate.
Can you also confirm exactly which ports on the AP11D I should use ?
Only E0 allows PoE . At the very least , surely I can power the AP27 with the E4 PoE out port of the AP11D ?
Please provide very specific instructions on how we can get this to work.

Subject: Wifi Mesh Solution using 2 Mesh Hops
Hi
I guess for PtP you have other and better solutions available on the market.
regarding mesh, the mesh AP doesn't need visibility to the parent AP (only on boot-up is advised) but still also here you need to respect the limitations.
The maximum hop count is two nodes (point > point > portal) and the maximum number of mesh points per mesh portal is eight i found online.
Do you have more details about the design you want to make? (number of AP, clients to support, distance PtP, speed internetline you want to share etc)

Thanks Goraz,
A. So there is no possibility to make a point to point bridge link with Outdoor Instant On APs? Even if I use the local web interface rather than the portal ?
B. Smartmesh allows hopping between mesh to mesh APs or does each AP need visibility of the parent AP. See below workaround with AP11D. First diagram with only AP27 mesh will fail but addition of AP11D downlink mesh hop to AP27 mesh will work? Note, only building A has ISP (internet) so the aim is to supply internet to the other two buildings via an instantON MESH solution.
