  • 1.  Access point AP 22 - VLAN and multiple SSID

    Hello,

I have a simple question on Access point AP 22. I have found that it allows to set up VLANs and multiple SSID.

t is not clear to me if you can configure the VLANs and the multiple SSID even if the AP is connected to a switch and a router of different brands (not Aruba Instant On) and if the setup of VLANs can be made directly from the access point.

    Thanks for helping,

    Daniele

The manufacturer of the switch is not important. It need to support vlans. You configure vlans on the switch ports and on AP separately.  If you use also InstantOn switches managed by InstantOn cloud portal, then you are able to define vlans on oen place.

    Hi,

i already implementation more than 1 vlan on AP22 with different SSID, just create trunk between switch to AP22, and create VLAN ID on router. as mention above different manufacture is not problem.

    Thank you

Yes! It works with switches made by other manufacturers. Whether or not the switch supports VLAN and tagging is more important than which vendor you choose.
