  • [Resolved] Temporary Suspension of Power Dashboard

    [Update Feb 19, 2026 1:00pm CST]

The "Power Consumption Dashboard" feature has been reactivated and should be viewable in the Instant On mobile app and web portal. We thank you for your patience while our team investigated and fixed this new feature.

    ----------

We have temporarily suspended the 'Power Consumption Dashboard' in our latest R3.3.3 release to quickly resolve an unforeseen technical issue that was impacting cloud management responsiveness. Ensuring your networks remain stable and easy to manage is our top priority.

The team is already working on a fix, and we will bring this feature back as soon as it meets our performance standards.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • [Resolved] Instant On Outage - January 29th

[Update as of January 29, 2026, 8:41 am PST]

Cloud Portal access has resumed; users can now access their network settings via the Cloud Portal and mobile application. The team is working to address the root cause to prevent this issue from occurring again in the future.

    ------

There have been reports that users are unable to log into the Instant On Cloud Portal or the mobile application. Networks are continuing to function normally at this time.

Our support and engineering teams are investigating the issue. We will update this announcement when additional information is available.

  • Release 3.3.2 compatibility issue with Instant On Switches

    [Update Jan 16, 2026 10:01 AM CST]

To protect your network stability, all Instant On 1960 switches associated with your sites will be automatically set to the 3.3.0 software version during your next Instant On updates site schedule.

Each 1960 switch will reboot to complete the software update, which will temporarily interrupt network connectivity for devices connected to that switch. All configurations and settings will be preserved, and no manual reconfiguration will be required.

No action is required on your side unless you prefer the operation to occur at a different time. In this case, you can change your automatic updates site schedule in the Instant On portal to select when the software update will run.

    [Update Jan 15, 2026 4:30pm CST]
A fix for issues experienced with Release 3.3.2 and networks that have the Instant On 1960 Switch Series deployed is undergoing final testing. If successful, the update will be pushed during your next update according to any Update Schedule you have created.

We will post again when the firmware is available if you'd like to update sooner.

    Community Members,

The HPE Networking Instant On team is aware that many customers are currently experiencing an issue where Instant On switches go offline after upgrading to R3.3.2. We sincerely apologize for the disruption this has caused to your networks.

We are actively investigating this matter and working on a solution. The team is investigating the root cause; potential fixes are being developed and tested to ensure a resolution with minimal impact on the user base. In the interim, the team is evaluating the possibility of downgrading 1960 switches to R3.3.0 as a short-term solution and will share this or other suggestions if viable.

Currently, we don’t have a timeline to share for the fix, but please know that solutions are being tested. We will keep you updated with new information in this announcement, and we appreciate your patience and thank you for bearing with us while we work to resolve this.

    Thank you,

    HPE Networking Instant On Team
