Is there anything more glorious than falling autumn leaves, a fresh crisp breeze, and the aroma of warm apple pie baking in the oven? It’s that time of year when the weather cools down and the kitchen heats up as we prepare our most beloved recipes to share at family gatherings and festive feasts. Here at HPE Networking Instant On, we’re busy baking too, but of course, we’re not baking the traditional treats typical of this time of year. As professional networking chefs, we’ve been carefully crafting our recipe for sweet and satisfying SMB Wi-Fi, developed specifically with small and medium businesses in mind. October is the spookiest time of the year. It’s the season for goblins and ghosts, werewolves in the dark, and haunted houses that send chills down your spine. But while the spooky season should be festive, fun, and even a little frightening, not every aspect of the month should be scary. October is also cybersecurity awareness month, a month in which the public and private sectors work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity. Did you know that 46% of all cyber breaches impact businesses with fewer than 1,000 employees?* As security incidents among smaller companies continue to increase and get more expensive, SMBs need ...
Data breaches, ransomware, phishing. Malicious cyberattacks seem to happen overnight and without warning, leaving unsuspecting businesses (and their customers) at risk. HPE recently surveyed customers from the small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment about their security concerns. The majority of participants identified data loss/theft and a lack of time to manage security resources as their most significant challenges. As technology providers, we know that SMB users may lack the time and expertise to focus on networking security—and that’s okay! We know that your time is better spent on what you do best (like attending to your customers)—rather ...

The HPE Networking Instant On Access Points—AP21 and AP32—are the latest Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs) that help small and medium businesses drive growth with next-generation networking. The Instant On AP21 offers affordable Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for smaller spaces, and because it works great with Smart Mesh, it can be a starting point for a more advanced network. It is recommended in low-density or low bandwidth-demanding networks with up to 50 devices, like small retail shops or team meeting rooms. While considered a low-density AP, the AP21 still packs a punch with up to 1.5Gbps of wireless throughput with its dual-band radios. The 2.4GHz band ensures your ...

When your business needs to connect more devices, you can expand your network by “stacking” multiple 1960 switches. Stacking switches together allows you to easily add network capacity to support more wireless access points, printers, surveillance cameras, servers, and desktops. Stacking also makes your network more reliable so you don’t have to worry about applications slowing down or network outages disrupting your business. Why stack switches? It’s simpler: With stacking, multiple physical switches ...
