What is on the other end of your fibers?
If your physical fibers are up to spec OM3/4 (or OM2 for a short distance), and the switch at the other end of the SFP is configured to 10gb then it should just work/light up.
However, if the switch on the other side only supports 1gb then you will need to manually set the Aruba SFP to 1gb.
Also, make sure that you have the send/recieve fibers the right way round - you might need to switch the cables in the connector at one end.

I have a dhcp server alongside like 30 aps.
multiple 10g sfp fibres incoming.
I also need to get a vlan for the general network use of laptops etc, but offer a guest network too.
any advice would be great as i have not used sfp's before and am stuck trying to get it to work - the docs do not help at all.
