The AP27 is an outdoor version of a standard access point.  It is designed to operate in outdoor conditions.  However, the antenna is like any other AP in that it is designed to cover a large area.
How far apart are the buildings?  Of you want to build a wireless link to connect the buildings you really need to use antennas that focus the signal into a narrow path, to optimize point-to-point connectivity.
Check out products like the Ubiquiti Building Bridge:

Hello Ron, there is about 20-30 meters between the 2 buildings so I don't think I need special antennas ... Thank you ! :)

Hi, unless something has changed, only the AP11D and AP22D allow bridging like you wish to do. You could have any AP on your "existing wired network" side, i.e. the AP27, but the "future network side" would have to be an AP11D or AP22D. I know because I wanted to do something similar. I ended up getting a Mikrotik Wireless Wire Cube setup instead.
