Hi Nick,
Aruba instant on Switches can be managed via two methods 1. cloud management which can help remote management 2. local web GUI i.e. accessing via the local IP address of the switch and from local network only.
by default all switches are cloud managed, to change local management a out of box switch local web gui provides the option to manage the switch in local management. when a switch is managed via local management all subsequent reboot will boot the switch in local management only. please find below screenshot where clicking on connect will make the switch to boot in local management.
Please find more information about stacking on the below link,

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Can you point to a official documentation where? Or can you tell me what its called? I used to managed it locally but i have not seen the option i think. Also would there is an option to switch it to local management i believe, would it carry over all if not most of the current configuration? Thank you!

Hi Nick,
1960 Instant On switch when managed via cloud management does not support MLAG which is a limitation where as 1960 managed via local web GUI supports MLAG.

Subject: Aruba 1960 Stacking
Hello Community! I just have a few questions regarding the Stacking feature of the 1960 models. Are these the same as MLAG? I am planning to purchase another aruba 1960 since i have almost run out of ports. If there is no huge difference or there is no MLAG between the 1960 switches on the cloud configuration, i might just need to buy the 1930 models since i can buy two arbua 1930s for the price of a 1960. And the features between the two models are i think negligible. but i might be wrong on that.
Thank you and have a nice day!
