Instant On - Wired

One of our customers has a bunch of Arubas that we're backing up using Oxidized. They recently replaced all the older Planet access-switches with Aruba Instant ONs and now we don't have a way of backing these up, since there's no CLI. Is there a way to automate switch backups on these? They're all locally managed. Manually connecting to the web interface on every switch is not really an option.

Yes, it is annoying limitation of local management.

The "easiest" option is to use the cloud management option, as the config is stored in aruba / instanton cloud for all the switches attached to a "site" ( i.e. your account).

(However this limits you to the config options that are supported by the web management pages).

There is "unofficial" ways of downloading the startup / running config from the switches using python; e.g.

However these are probably not ideal for "production" type environments as they are unofficial & not supported by aruba.
