New to Aruba Instant On switches - we do use AP15 access points at several sites and love them. So we are familiar with the portal, mobile app, and process.
I've been trying to set up a new 1830 (1830 48G 24p Class4 PoE 4SFP 370W Switch JL815A) and getting bogged down. When I first attempted to add it using the mobile app, it would not find it, so I tried by serial number, scan code, no dice. I then connected my laptop to manage via web interface. That worked. I was able to set a static IP address, change the admin pw, etc. I then signed in using the new IP and credentials. A short time later, it was not accessible, and still is not. I don't know why it has become unavailable. Since the static I assigned is outside of the DHCP range of my firewall, I added the mac address to the firewall as a static, but the switch is still not reachable.
Question on a different note, how can I get this switch into the portal to manage it there like our APs as opposed to the web interface? Many attempts before trying the web interface.
