How can I disable Storm Control for a network when my switch is managed vcia the app and cloud? In local management it is possible via a toggle switch, but I don't see this option when the switch is in cloud managed mode...

Anyone can point me to the right place?

FYI local management is not an option for this customer...

    Little more background information:

We are using HDMI-IP converters to transmit video images from a PC to several TV screens. It is using multicast trafic for this.

When I connect the transmitter and receiver to a InstantOn switch out of the box without configuration, it works. When I switch to local management, it works.

When I set the switch to cloud managed it starts blocking the image, update every 5 seconds or so, with a lot of pixelation.

I have the same experience when in local managed when I switch the Storm Control switch to ON. But since it is OFF by default everything works.

So there must be something that, when going to cloud managed, that Storm Control is set to ON, which is different than when in local managed and not managed, where by default it is off...

Should be great that this is added in cloud managed mode as well, or disable it by default.

Am I the only one using broadcast and images trafic on these Aruba switches? And none of the product managers are reading these forums and ask for more information?

I can tell several of my customers are rethinking their strategy of networking platforms if no interest is shown in feature requests or support avoiding this rather basic question.

Since it is possible in local management and not in cloud management. This is no rocket science imho...

    Hi ,

I just had some luck opening a support ticket, from here

    https://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/contact-support/

I got a reply to my ticket in less than a day.

I've been promised a fix for the problem I reported in the next firmware update.

    Thanks,

    Travis.
